NERDA is currently implementing the following projects: CREDO - Competitive Regional Economic Development in North-East BiH In June 2007. NERDA started implementing the CREDO Project, funded by the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation "Sida". The main goal of CREDO is to create/formalize and/or sustain jobs, reduce poverty and improve the economic status of NE BiH, through two-phase interventions, supporting SMEs development and growth, applying the NERDA Integrated Economic Development (IED) methodology. By the end of 2008. NERDA successfully completed the Phase 1 of CREDO and started with the implementation of Phase II which will last until the end of 2010. More about the project at www.credo.ba Regional Guarantee Fund The findings generated through economic analysis of the SME Sector indicated that enterprises are faced with serious obstacles is access to affordable medium and long term finance. Therefore NERDA established a Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises, which became operational in March 2008. In partnership with Volksbank bh, Tuzla NERDA ensured a very attractive interest rate for SMEs which is 6.625 %, while the multiplying factor for the deposited funds is 3.5. The total deposited funds are in the amount of 506.000 KM, while the available potential amounts to 1.771.000 KM. For more information on Guarantee Fund please contact: Project ACInD – Adriatic Cooperation for Industrial Development ACInD is funded by European Union ANNP (Adriatic New Neighborhood Programme INTERREG/CARDS/Phare) and falls under priorities of Axis 2, Measure 2.1, Action 2.1.4. This project has two main beneficiaries – SMEs and involved local areas – and is developed on two main activity areas – studies and pilot projects – over three issues:
Development Association NERDA will implement the main activities, which refer to elaboration of two Feasibility Studies: 1 feasibility study on the realization of a technological park and 1 feasibility study on environmental management, i.e. standards and certificates. Other activities refer to active participation in Project Steering Committee, Transnational Working Group and Project Network. Project implementation is until July 2009. CulTuRe Project - Promotion of Tourism and International Relations in the City of Tuzla The CulTuRe Project was implemented in 2007 and 2008, and together with Tuzla Municipality NERDA was a partner to the City of Bologna. Given the fact that the project was very successful, the donor Foundation Casa di Risparmio agreed to fund the continuation of the Project in 2009 under the name "CulTuRe II", in which NERDA is recognized as a partner.
